A Letter from the Author

Hi, I'm Kaminski.

Author. Founder. The hand behind The Ink.

How it started

I didn't grow up thinking I'd become a writer. I grew up watching, listening, holding on to the parts of life most people walked past. The quiet moments. The unspoken things. The pieces of people they thought no one could see. Somewhere along the way the only way I knew how to carry it all was to write it down. Pages became a place to put the weight, and over time, those pages started speaking back to me — louder than I expected, and softer than I knew I needed.

Writing is how I made sense of being alive. It's how I learned to hear myself. And eventually, it became how I learned to speak to other people without ever having to raise my voice.

What inspired me to publish

For years the work stayed in notebooks and locked notes apps — too personal, I thought, to put anywhere else. Then one day I shared a single piece and watched a stranger read their own life inside it. That was the moment something shifted. If a sentence I wrote in the dark could meet someone in theirs, then keeping it to myself was the selfish thing to do.

So I built a home for the work. K.J.A & Z.J.O Press Studio is that home — a small, intentional press I founded to release every book on my own terms. No watering down. No chasing trends. Just real writing, finished the way it was meant to be finished, and placed gently into your hands.

The meaning behind Artistry by Kaminski

Artistry is not a brand name to me — it's a promise. Every poem, every chapter, every cover, every line break is a choice. Nothing here is mass-produced. Nothing here is decoration. The black and the gold, the slowness of the pages, the silence between sentences — all of it is on purpose.

By Kaminski is the signature. It's me telling you that whatever you're about to read came from somewhere real, and that I stood behind every word before I let it leave my hands.

What you can expect from my work

Expect honesty. Expect intimacy. Expect to be sat down and spoken to, not at. My writing moves between poetry, fiction, and the kind of in-between language that doesn't fit neatly into a genre — because life doesn't fit neatly into a genre either.

Some pieces will feel like a long exhale. Some will feel like a mirror you weren't ready for. All of them are written with you in mind — the reader who notices things, who feels things deeply, who's been looking for words that don't flinch.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for reading slowly. Thank you for letting these pages matter. I built The Ink for you — and every book you carry home from this shelf carries a small piece of me with it.
